Happy Valentines Day to each of you, and the families you love!
1. Presentation Night Thurs., April 14 7-9:00pm
Parents, families, teachers – it’s that time of year when we have the wonderful opportunity to showcase and celebrate our children’s accomplishments during the annual MACH Presentation Night!! Please invite your family, friends, and neighbors! Is there a family new to homeschooling, who could be encouraged and benefit from seeing what we do at MACH?
The evening’s agenda begins with oral presentations on the stage in the sanctuary. We will have Handbells and a play from the Drama class. There will be about 15 minutes max. available for other presentations from the following:
**Teachers of Second Grade and younger: do you have any recitations or songs?
**Teachers of High Schoolers: do any of you have something you would like your class to recite?
**Are there any students, Third Gr. or older, who are not involved in Electives but would enjoy being part of something?
After being dismissed from the sanctuary, everyone is invited to the gym where there will be many tables displaying a wide variety of projects. Teachers – have you been collecting classroom projects or telling your students to keep their projects safely at home until this special night? It is a real privilege and treat to wander casually among the tables, while enjoying refreshments and each other’s company. Bring your camera!
On April 14, please plan to be seated in the sanctuary no later than 6:45. You may want to come a earlier to put finishing touches on your table display. Teachers: think of ways to be creative with your displays.
This is the first of much more information to come your way. Stay tuned!! Any questions are welcome and I will do my best to answer them!! Tracy Graybill – Presentation Night Coordinator
2. Prayer request and Praise
I wanted to thank each of you for praying for my dad. I received a call last week from Florida letting me know that my dad was in the emergency room in a hospital. He became ill while vacationing. The initial diagnoses of pneumonia was re-diagnosed as aorta stenosis. His aorta was not working properly and his lungs were collecting fluid. He was driven back to PA on Monday and I traveled to his home in Bucks County, PA to stay with him and drive him to Dr. visits. As concerned as I was about his heart, that paled in comparison to my concern about his spiritual life. Twenty-eight years ago when I told my Jewish parents that I had accepted Jesus as my Jewish Savior, I was told to NEVER mention that name again in their home or in their presence. I now realized that the time had come to disobey my father. I believe because of the power of prayer, my father’s spiritual heart has softened. I was able to witness to him this morning. Although he didn’t make a decision immediately, he listened, understood, and PROMISED me that he would accept the Savior before it was too late. He allowed me to explain everything that I have wanted to for almost 30 years. I can’t thank each one of you enough for your prayers. I don’t know what the Drs. will decide to do about my dad’s condition, but I know Who is on the throne and I refuse to worry!! I’ll keep you posted. Thanks again!! Bonni
